Achtergrond1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one is een
conserveringsmiddel behorend tot de isothiazolinone groep. Deze bestaat uit:
- 2-n-Octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one
- 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one
- 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one
- 5-Chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one
Deze
conserveringsmiddelen worden toegevoegd aan talloze industriële producten.
1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one wordt het meest gevonden in reinigingsmiddelen,
polijstmiddelen en in verven (meestal op waterbasis). Maar het komt ook voor
in een lage concentratie in shampoo, huidverzorgingsproducten en
printerinkt.

GebruikAcryl harsen, plakband, reinigingsmiddelen, polijstmiddelen, was, weekmakers, lijmen, verf (spuitverf, latexverf), fotochemicaliën, pesticiden, pigmenten, snij- en draai-olie, printer inkt, shampoo, verfbaden in de textielindustrie, surfactans, schoenzolen, PVC handschoenen en vele andere industriële producten.
