Background
Amcinonide is a high-potency topical and systemic corticosteroid. It has
been classified as group B by Coopman et al. According the A-D grouping,
patch-test reactions occur 6-7 times more frequently within well-defined
groups of structurally related chemicals than between corticosteroids of
different groups.

Amcinonide is een sterk corticosteroïd uit de B groep, waarvoor vaker dan
gemiddeld contactallergieën optreden. Het is mede om die redenen in Nederland
niet meer op de markt (Amicla was de merknaam). Het is nog wel als allergeen
bestelbaar en is opgenomen in de plakproefreeks corticosteroïden.
