Background
Benzyl alcohol is a constituent of jasmine, hyacinth, ylang-ylang oils,
Balsam Peru, Balsam Tolu, and storax. It is used to manufacture other benzyl
compounds. It occurs as a liquid with a faint aromatic odor.
